The primary business of Minerals Research, Inc. (MRI) is the mining, processing, and marketing of iron silicate products from our plant in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Our primary products are air blasting abrasives marketed under the SHARPSHOT^® brand. We also produce slurry blasting abrasives, underwater waterjet cutting abrasives, roofing granules, roofing backing sands, cement additives, epoxy overlay aggregates for bridges and parking decks, asphalt fillers, and pavement aggregates.

MRI primarily serves the southwest and west coast of the United States, but we also have distributors and customers in the midwest, the northwest, the U.S. Gulf, Mexico, and Japan.
